3rd Upminster Scout Group

21st-23rd Our 3rd Upminster Environmental Day at Pages Wood (Hall Lane North). We are going to clear the stream of litter and camp the Saturday night. Cost £5. Mums and Dads welcome. Our Beavers and Scouts are in attendance. See hand out sheet and return slip.

26th Creative Badge. We are going to assemble photographs of the weekend as the first part of this badge. Creative or Invent a new game in your six.

3rd Creative acting. Roy our Minister is going to run this activity.
You need to bring in a hat as a prop! Please find one.

6th Cub-a-doo is a big County event where you will undertake many activities. This takes place at Hargreaves Camp site. Better details are to come but please sign up to the slip below.

10th Night hike around South Weald Park. Please meet at the car park by the cricket club at the south end of the park. Pick up at 8pm. Bring a drink and a snack and walk in good shoes or boots. Water proof if it's wet plus a torch.

17h Science Badge, we are going to make circuit boards with lights and buzzers. Train or electric cars demo. Draw out a circuit. Why does it (not) work?

24th Half term holiday.

31st Science Badge: Hot air/light bending/ Air Oxygen/water displacement tests and experiments. Weather logs to be handed out. Also keep a log of living things in your garden, ants slugs, etc.

7th Conkers night, bring in your best ones. Harry Potter night with our Beavers.

14th Father and cub night at Thriftwood. Wide games and a camp fire sing song with supper. We will ask Livingstone pack to join us for the evening. 6.30 In the main Thriftwood car park. Pick up at 8pm

21st Games including a maze, pirates and spot light. Review your badges and what you need to do to complete.
28th Cooking night, Scrambled eggs and pop corn. Don't have your tea!
December 2007
5th This is the district Cub Carol service, full uniform. Details to come.
12th Cubs Christmas party, The sixers will choose the games and party
food. Get planning guys!
15th Saturday
Day out to the Science museum in London. Full details to come.

Notes:
Pages Wood open park: Clean up day as our Group community Environmental award is to be advised fully, but we hope to clear the brook in the park of rubbish and this will be an all day event with all sections taking part.

Church parade is the second Sunday in the month 9.45 in the hall. Please make every effort to attend. Full uniform. Re Harvest Festival and the Toy service in December.

· Church parade every 2nd Sunday 9.45 for 10. full uniform. 1 hour duration and something for the plate.
· 3rd Upminster T-shirts are still available, see Bagheera (£7.50)
· Subs are £29 per term and payment is by cheque to 3rd Upminster Scout Group as the payee. You can sign up for the Gift aid subs and reclaim the tax which is better for us and you.
