3RD UPMINSTER (Wesley) CUB PROGRAMME
Summer 2006
April 2006
Wed 19th Games Night-All night long.
Sun 23rd St Georges Day Parade Thank you for the good attendance.
Wed 26th We are going to make up the Union flag England /Scotland
Wales and N Ireland. We need each Six to find out 10 facts about
your chosen Country and report back next week
May 2006
Wed 3rd We will hear on each country before undertaking the cycling
badge. Please bring in your bikes and helmets. We shall repair and
service your bikes, ride out a course in the back yard/Road test
if your good enough and run through some safety issues- first.
Wed 10th Thames Chase evening, met there, Pike Lane at 6.30pm full
uniform. Pond dipping and a walk about.
Sunday 14th Church parade 10.45 in the hall. Out at midday.
Thursday18th We are going to join up with our Beavers and show
them how to put a tent up and make a cup of tea on the gas stoves,
light a tilly lamp and pack a ruck sack. From 6pm to 8pm in the
hall
Saturday 20th Younger Cub Day older Beaver district event. Better
details to follow.
Wed 24th Estimation of distant height, weight and time to be undertaken.
Will run some games on ball skills
.We also need to start to
run through the AGM song and dance
and jokes.
Wed 31st HALF TERM
June 2006
Wed 7th Night hike to start from Pages Wood. Over the A127 and
pull into the first car park on the left in Hall Lane North. Full
uniform please bring a drink and stable clothing. Pick up from the
Garden Centre car park in Nags Head Lane at 8.15pm.
Sunday 11th Cubs Scouts is 90 years old and this County event is
to take place at Gillwell Park. Will need details of numbers.

Sunday 11th Church Parade 10.45 in the hall
Wed 14h Met at Thriftwood Camp site in Brentwood for 6.30pm Full
uniform please. We will undertake the Explorers badge with cooking
on open fires and making a simple shelter. AGM song and dance to
be sung.
Friday 16th AGM and events. We want all parents and family to come
along and join in. We will have a barbee and drinks with things
for all to do. Plus a song and dance from the Cubs-Please purchase
a family ticket when on sale. See our web page.
Sun 13th Nov hall
Wed 21st We are back Thriftwood again, We shall book the go-karks
and Archery for the evening. Full uniform please. We are also going
to put up the tents for the Cub camp. So all can help.
23rd 25th Cub Camp for the 6 oldest boys. Ive got the forms!
28th Paper planes in the hall and games outside. We will hand out
a find out sheet for cubs to find out as many thinks
as they can about America

July 2006
5th American Independency Day! Popcorn/hot dogs and a game of soft
ball over at the Windmill park, met there at 6.30 in full uniform
and pick up at 8pm and run through the find out sheet from last
week.
Sunday 9th Church Parade 10.45 in the hall
Wed 12th Handymans badge-we are going to make a bird box
dads help please-
19th Water fights night, bring on the hose pipe ban! We will have
plenty of games all based on getting wet. Bring your water guns
and buckets and plastic cups. Plus a change of clothing and a towel.
Food and drink to follow.
Notes
- RETURN the week after you go back to school. i.e. Sept 6th
- Uniform: You must have full uniform each week. Any Cub turning
up from next week without full uniform will be sent home! Mums please
help us to look smart. If you have a problem with this please let
us know.
- Subs are £29 with cheques being payable to 3rd Upminster
Scout Group. If you fill in the Standing Order form even better.
- 3rd Upminster T-shirts are still available, see Bagheera (£7)
