Programme – Autumn 2009

9th September 09 – Welcome back boys!! – Games Night & Craft Work for this Sunday’s Church Parade “Harvest Festival”. Please bring an offering.
(Note – Environmental Weekend forms should be handed in no later then next Wednesday the 16th September 09).

13th September 09 - Church Parade “Harvest Festival” – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. After the service there will be a light buffet, tea & coffee, to introduce the New Full Time Youth Worker for the Church. All parents & families welcome.

16th September 09 – “Show & Tell” Night. Please bring in your collections, football books, pin badges, key rings etc. This will go towards your Collectors Badge.

19th – 20th September 09 – Environmental Weekend. – Details and forms have been emailed or handed out. 

23rd September 09 – Module Games – This evening is dedicated to the “Young Leaders” & their training. 3rd Ups have been chosen to help out. A night full of games….that can’t be bad.

30th September 09 – Following on from our Environmental Weekend – Shere Khan has booked us in at RSPB Rainham Marshes where we will learn about the environment and do some field work. Please bring a drink and snack and dress accordingly.
NOTE…..Drop off at 5.45 and pick up at 8.00.

3rd October 09 – County Kubadoo @ Hargreaves Scout Camp – Forms handed out. Please reply ASAP.

7th October 09 – Knots & Map reading skills. No true Cub could do with out.

11th October 09 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

14th October 09 – Father & Son night @ Thriftwood. Usual wide games where the boys take on their Dads, and where the Dads can show them who’s the Boss. A bit to eat and a sing song round the camp fire.

21st October 09 – Night Hike @ Thorndon Park – Details to follow.

28th October 09 – Half Term – No Pack Meet.

30th – 31st October 09 – District “Spooks Night” – Details to follow.

4th November 09 – “Harry Potter” Night with our Beavers. Lots of gunk and horrible slimy stuff……….YUM…..

8th November 09 – Remembrance Sunday “All Must Attend” – Haven’t got your faith badge yet? Make sure you make the effort to attend! Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay for a cup of tea or coffee.

11th November 09 – Week One of our “Astronomer” Badge.

18th November 09 – Week Two of our “Astronomer” Badge.

25th November 09 – Final Week Three of our “Astronomer” Badge.

2nd December 09 – Film Night – Popcorn & Snacks.

6th December 09 – “Toy Service” Church Parade – Haven’t got your faith badge yet? Make sure you make the effort to attend! Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay for a cup of tea or coffee.

9th December 09 – A night with the “DARK SIDE” aka Livingstone Pack. – To be arranged.

16th December 09 – “It’s Party Night” Games, Food & Be Merry. Break for Christmas.

6th January 10 – Return from Xmas Break – Games Night!

Notes.

• Subs are now £31.00 per term. Cheques made payable to “3rd Upminster Scout Group” or ask for a standing order form.
• Church parade is every 2nd Sunday 9.45 for 10.00 service. Please make every effort to attend. Full Uniform. 1 Hour duration and an offering for the plate.
• If you have any ideas or events for the Cubs please let us know.
• Full uniforms unless otherwise stated. Please be smart.
• If any parent who like to help out for an evening or would like to become a leader, please let us know. It’s not as scary as it looks……Cubs Honour!!!
• At present we are updating our Web site. In future our programmes will be available to download for here. Also all future events and photo’s can be view from here as well.
