Welcome back to Beavers and we hope that you had an enjoyable Summer Holiday. Below is our programme for this Term.

13^th Sept 2010 Welcome back to beavers time to welcome our new beavers and play games with our friends

19 Sept 2010 Environmental Day at Pages Wood - Beavers will join up with our Cubs and Scouts to participate in this fun environmental day (More information to follow).

20 Sept 2010 We are over the park to play football or Softball

^27th Sept 2010 We are going to visit the park and break some records.

^4th Oct 2010 Sponsored walk for children with Leukaemia

10th Oct 2010 CHURCH PARADE (please bring your children along to the church hall for 10.15am).

11^th Oct 2010 We are learning about Diwali and trying some indian food

18^th Oct 2010 We are making scary Halloween masks

25^th Oct 2010 AUTUMN HALF TERM - NO BEAVERS

^1nd Nov 2010 We are going to visit Thames Chase and go for a scary lantern walk. Details and letter of consent to follow, parents there will be a small charge of £2.00 per beaver for the trip.

8^th Nov 2010 To be confirmed

14^th Nov 2010 CHURCH PARADE (please bring your children along to the church hall for 10.15am). This is Remembrance Sunday and ALL Beavers are required to attend.

15^th Nov 2010 Please bring in some recycling – we are going to do some junk modelling for our imagination badge

22nd Nov 2010 We are going to release some balloons with thank you notes attached this will be for our promise badge.

29^th Nov 2010 We will have a Scottish theme with games and crafts for St Andrews Day.

6^th Dec 2010 We are making creative Christmas decorations, to hang on our trees.

^12th Dec 2010 CHURCH PARADE (please bring your children along to the church hall for 10.15am).

13^th Dec 2010 Christmas Party - Lots of fun party games, food and drinks

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

We will be returning to Beavers on Monday 10^th January 2011

CHURCH PARADE is the second Sunday in the month 10.15am in the hall. Please make every effort to attend.

Notes:

_. Subs are £32 per term and payment can be by cheque made payable to 3^rd Upminster Scout Group or you can sign up for direct debit payment which means yours subs will automatically come out of your bank account on the 1^st October, 1^st February and the 1^st June. We would very much like you to sign up for Direct Debit as this will cut down on a lot of paper work for all the volunteer leaders. (Direct Debit form attached)

_. If you have any ideas or events that you think will be good for our Beavers please let me know.

_. Don’t forget to sign up to our Parent Rota for helping on a Monday night. This is very helpful as it does help to run the nights more smoothly.
