Part 1 of our IMAGINATION AND ADVENTURE BADGES we shall be building model boats using a variety of objects (please bring in plastic bottles, tubs or other junk which may be of use) and seeing if they will float.  We shall be planting giant sunflower seeds to take home as part of our GLOBAL CHALLENGE BADGE – whose flower will grow the tallest?

Thursday 19 May

THAMES CHASE VISIT. Part 2 of our IMAGINATION BADGE we will be visiting Thames Chase, meeting outside the cafe (left of the Visitor’s Centre) at 6pm, collect at 7pm from same place.  We shall be creating large nature collages and performing poetry! 

Thursday 26 May

HORNCHURCH FIRE STATION VISIT.  A permanent fixture on our Summer Term Programme.  Meet outside Hornchurch Fire Station at 6.25pm.  Parents to collect at 7.30pm.  Please note that your child may get wet during the fire hose demonstration!

THAMES CHASE HIKE.  On this visit we shall be walking around Thames Chase as part of our HIKES AWAY STAGED ACTIVITY BADGE.  Meeting at 6pm outside cafe and collect at 7pm from the same place.  Parents welcome to join us.

Father’s Day makes.  One for the Dads and Grandads.  Can’t tell you what we’re planning! 

Thursday 23 June

DAMYNS HALL AERODROME VISIT.  Further details to follow.  As part of our AIR ACTIVITIES BADGE we shall be making giant paper planes and visiting the planes which are kept in the hanger.  Please bring £2 for ice-cream. 

Thursday 30 June

UPMINSTER PARK LEAF HUNT – meet at 6pm inside entrance to park opposite Saint Joseph’s School.  We shall be going on a leaf hunt and playing games.  Please collect from the same place at 7pm, or stay and join in the fun! 

Thursday 7 July

SPORTS DAY AT UPMINSTER PLAYING FIELDS, HALL LANE – further details to follow.  Joint Sports Day with 2^nd Cranham Beavers – “COME ON WESLEYS”. 

SATURDAY 9 JULY

FAMILY FUN DAY AT LAMBOURNE END, INCLUDING BEAVER SLEEPOVER – Further information to follow.  All Beavers attending the Family Fun Day are invited to the sleepover.

Thursday 14 July

End of term party.  We shall be saying goodbye to Joseph B, Harry, Adam and James G as they move up to Cubs.
