Programme – Spring 2010

21st April 10 – Welcome back boys!! – Games Night.

25^th April 10 – St George’s Day Parade - Meet at Upminster Bridge station 9.30 sharp and pick up at the Dury Falls shops Wingletye Lane at 12.15.
Full uniform and be smart. Full turn out please.

28^th April 10 – Ideas, planning and growing our £10 Challenge evening…

5^th May 10 – Start of our “Fitness” Challenge. The Olympics’ are just round the corner and our boys need to get into tip top condition.

9^th May 10 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

9^th May 10 – Water Activity Day at the Docklands; Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Power Boating and optional swimming! Further details to be given out to the boys who are going.

12^th May 10 – Continuation of our “Fitness” Challenge.

15^th May 10 – Badge Day Thriftwood.

19^th May 10 – Gordon Ramsey step aside......Our Boys are carrying out their “Chef” badge......Anyone one for salad?

26^th May 10 – Canoeing @ Thriftwood. Start time 6.15 till 8.15. Bring Towel & change of clothes, you’re laddy may get WET!!!!!. Jersey & Scarf.

2^nd June 10 “Half Term” No Pack Night.

9^th June 10 – Parents time to take out insurance. Your son is about to start his “Navigator” badge. There’s a good chance we may get lost!!!!! J

13^th June 10 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

11-13^thJune 10 – District Cub Camp at Thriftwood. Invitations to cubs have been sent out. Further details to follow.

16^th June 10 – preparation evening for the 25^th June Family Fun Night.

23^th June 10 – No Pack Meeting due to Fridays “Family Fun Night”

25^th June 10 - “Family Fun Night” – BBQ, games, bouncy castle, , Tug –of –War, climbing wall, Crafts, Giant Jenga, Football and Tin Can Ally. See Leaders for ticket sales. Please make an effort to come along to support your son & the group and to meet other parents and leaders. It’s a good fun night.

26^th June 10 – District “Soap Box Derby” – Race against other packs from the district and claim the crown for 3^rd Ups as the Go-Kart Kid. Further Details to Follow.

30^th June 10 – “Evening Hike” from the Headley Arms to Roots & Shoots. Wrap up accordingly and bring a drink and a snack.

7^th July 10 – Continuation of the “Navigators” Badge.

11^th July 10 - Church Parade – Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee.

14^th July 10 – Bike Treasure Hunt – meet at Thames Chase. 6.30 – 8.00. Bring drink & snack.

15th July 10  - Beaver Disco - Please come along and support our Beavers. Tickets are £2.00 and will be sold on our FFE on the 25th June 10. Further details to follow.

21^st July 10 – It’s a WATER FIGHT!!!!! – Our Legendary end of term water massacre. You’re son will get wet...Sorry soaked, so please please please send him in with a spare change of clothes and a towel. (There will ALWAYS be one Cub, who does not bring in either, don’t let it be yours?????). Also bring along water guns and water balloons.

28^st July 10 – Summer Holidays.....Yippee, Yippee, six weeks off, err I mean have a lovely summer holiday J

8^th September 10 – Welcome Back Boys! – Games Night.

May we all wish you & your families a wonderful Summer Holiday.

Unfortunately we will be losing the following Cub to Scouts after the Summer Break.

Notes.

• Subs are now due @ £31.00 per term. Cheques made payable to “3^rd Upminster Scout Group” or ask for a standing order form.
• Church parade is every 2^nd Sunday 9.45 for 10.00 service. Please make every effort to attend. Full Uniform. 1 Hour duration and an offering for the plate.
• If you have any ideas or events for the Cubs please let us know.
• Full uniforms unless otherwise stated. Please be smart.
• If any parent who like to help out for an evening or would like to become a leader, please let us know. It’s not as scary as it looks……Cubs Honour!!!
