Programme – Autumn 2011

7^th September 11 – Welcome back boys!! – Games Night & Sort out new six’s.

11^th September 11 - Church Parade– Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee?

14^th September 11 – Climbing @ Hargreaves Scout Camp. Jersey & scarf only. Normal drop off and pick up times.

17^th – 18^th September 11 – Environmental Weekend.– Details and forms have been emailed or handed out.

21^st September 11 – Night Hike @ South Weald – Details to follow. Cubs to bring torch, drink and a snack.

28^th September 11 – Following on from our Environmental Weekend – RSPB Rainham Marshes. To be confirmed.

NOTE…..Drop off at 5.45 and pick up at 8.00.

5^th October 11 – Harvest Festival – Making a window display for the church window for Sunday’s Harvest Festival.

8^th October 11 – County Water Day @ Docklands– Details to follow.

9^th October  11 - Church Parade “Harvest Festival”– Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up at 11.00, or why not stay afterwards for a cup of tea or coffee?

Please Bring Offering.

Also after the teas and coffee’s there will be a family BBQ in the car park. All Welcome.

12^th October 11 – Father & Son night @ Thriftwood. Usual wide games where the boys take on their Dads, and where the Dads can show them who’s the Boss. A bit to eat and a sing song round the camp fire.

15^th October 11 – District Air Rifle Competition– Details to follow.

19^th October 11– Entertainers Badge – Week 1 – “Planning” Sort out themes and get them Tom Cruise’s and Brad Pitt’s ready for their acting careers. Hollywood, Watch Out!

26^th October 11 – Half Term – No Pack Meet.

2^nd November 11 – Entertainers Badge – Week 2 – “Show Time”. Rehearsals are done. Roll VT, Action……

9^th November 11 – “Harry Potter” Night with our Beavers. Lots of gunk and horrible slimy stuff……….YUM…..

12^th November 11 – District Cub Quiz– Details to follow.

13^th November 11 – Remembrance Sunday “All Must Attend”– Haven’t got your faith badge yet? Make sure you make the effort to attend! Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up but in hall at 11.00, or why not stay for a cup of tea or coffee.

16^th November 11 – “Community Challenge” – Yet to be confirmed, but we are trying to organise a visit from our local “Police” to give us a talk on local and police matters.

Also learning about the dangers and hazards found in and around our homes and camp sites.

23^rd November 11 – Continuation of our“Community Challenge” – We will be looking to visit a “Church, Mosque, Temple” etc to continue with our community theme and to achieve our “World Faith Badge”. Details to follow.

30^th November 11 – Film Night – Popcorn & Snacks.

4^th December 11 – “Toy Service” Church Parade– Meet in the hall at 09.45 for a 10.00 service. Pick up in hall at 11.00, or why not stay for a cup of tea or coffee.

7^th December 11 – District Carol Service– Details to Follow.

14^thh December 11 – “It’s Party Night” Games, Food & Be Merry. Break for Christmas.

• Subs are now £35.00 per term. Cheques made payable to “3^rd Upminster Scout Group” or ask for a standing order form.
• Church parade is every 2^nd Sunday 9.45 for 10.00 service. Please make every effort to attend. Full Uniform. 1 Hour duration and an offering for the plate.
• If you have any ideas or events for the Cubs please let us know.
• Full uniforms unless otherwise stated. Please be smart.
• If any parent who like to help out for an evening or would like to become a leader, please let us know. It’s not as scary as it looks……Cubs Honour!!!
